It is necessary for normal functioning of nerves, cells, muscle, and bone. If there is not enough calcium in the blood, then the body will take calcium from bones, thereby weakening bones. Calcium can also aid in the prevention of weight gain, as well as the maintenance of healthy weight levels. When the body does not receive enough calcium, it enters emergency starvation mode, and begins to leach calcium into the bloodstream.

Specifications of Calcium Orotate
Characters: White to almost white crystalline powder.
Solubility: Hardly soluble in water. Practically insoluble in 96% ethanol and ether.
Identification:
A. IR Shall pass the test.
B. Calcium Shall pass the test.
Specific absorbance: A1cm (1.0%) 280 – 310 at 285 nm
Amino acid test on 1g sample: Shall be absent.
Sulphate: Not more than 200 ppm.
Total Heavy Metals: Not more than 20 ppm.
Arsenic: Not more than 2 ppm.
Assay by Complexometric titration on dried basis: Between 98.0% – 102
